Helios

One sun crosses one sky, and everything under it agrees about the hour.

Publishes time of day as custom properties — sun altitude, shadow angle and length, colour temperature, ink and ground — so every component reads the same light. Bound to the visitor’s clock unless an hour is forced.

The same hour, everywhere.

Integration

<link rel="stylesheet" href="anthemion.css">
<script type="module" src="anthemion.js"></script>

<anthemion-sky hour="17" dawn="6" dusk="20"></anthemion-sky>

Slot

Global light source. Wrap the page; every other component reads from it.

Budget

  • Exactly one per document. Two skies is two suns.
  • Give the buyer an opt-out — a site that goes dark at 9pm surprises whoever approved a light design.

Restraint is the aesthetic, and it does not survive being applied generously. These limits are the specification, not advice.
