The pediment

The triangular gable over a temple's front. It crowns a hero, a modal or a dialog.

A horizontal cornice, two raking cornices climbing to the apex, and a recessed tympanum. The pitch defaults to 13° to preserve the Greek proportion rather than reading as a steep domestic roof. Figures in the tympanum scale dynamically to the triangular height at each position and omit cleanly where clearance is insufficient. Shaded from the page's global sun.
