The echinos

The sealed jar of the preliminary hearing: nothing outside it could be introduced at the trial.

The vessel is the component: a real surface of revolution — foot, belly, shoulder, neck, lid, cord and clay seal — with the questions set inside its silhouette, one register band each. Each item owns an equal share of the profile but is drawn across however many pixels it currently occupies, so opening one swells the belly exactly where you are reading. And it judges what it holds. An answer that is empty, template residue — {{ }}, TK, TBC, lorem — or shorter than a stated minimum is not rendered as a question at all, so it is not a band of the jar either; the set numbers itself by what it admitted, VII and not XV. Then it seals, and items added later stay shut.

What does a first meeting cost?

Nothing. We will look at a site before anyone has decided what to do with it.

How long does planning take?

Eight to sixteen weeks in most authorities, longer in a conservation area, and we will tell you which before you commit to anything.

Budget

  • One per page, four to twelve items. Beyond that the pot becomes a pithos and the belly stops reading as a curve.
  • Give it the full column. The vessel needs about 220px to be drawn at all and falls back to a plain judged list below that, which is correct but is not the component.
  • Never ship with `keep`. It leaves the inadmissible on the page for an author to find, which is an authoring aid and not a state a visitor should ever see.
  • The count of refusals is machine-readable and must stay that way. Printing it would be the component shaming its buyer in front of their client.

Restraint is the aesthetic, and it does not survive being applied generously. These limits are the specification, not advice.
